A different kind of memorialisation.

on

BBC Hull and East Yorkshire has published an amazing story of three friends, Cliff, Paul and Ron, who were due to go on a fishing trip to Thailand together. Sadly, Ron died from cancer before the trip. The two friends decided to go to Thailand anyway and with Ron’s prior permission they used his ashes as bait! This way, Ron travelled with them and not only that. Cliff and Paul managed to catch Siamese carp which weighs 180lbs!! The carp was named Ron as a tribute to their dear friend. This special commemoration shows that remembrance is becoming increasingly personalised and can have many different forms. What ultimately matters, is that we remember.
